Exactly, he was offered a lot of $$$$ from somewhere else!!! This NIL BS have become pathetic. I hope that the federal judge that rule on that case and leaving it wide open the way that he did, I hope that something directly connected to his personal life becomes as Fck up as he made it for college FB!!!!!

I dont feel the NIL ruling is the problem. Yo me , the problem is with the NCAA not making all players sit a year upon transfer. Also, the NCAA is turning a blind eye to the tampering. It is supposed to be illegal to pay a player to come to your school. There has been talk of making all NIL deals go through a registered agency. The NCAA can improve the situation a lot but has chosen to turn a blind eye to the mess.

A judge just made that impossible, too.
-----------
College athletes who were denied the chance to play immediately after transferring a second time can return to competition — for now — after a federal judge issued a 14-day temporary restraining order Wednesday against the NCAA.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey in northern West Virginia issued the order against the NCAA from enforcing the transfer rule. A lawsuit filed by West Virginia and six other states alleged the rule’s waiver process violated federal antitrust law. The order clears the way for athletes to play during the two-week period and also ensures that schools won’t be punished for allowing it.
The transfer portal will undergo significant change as a temporary restraining order was issued by U.S. District Court Judge John Bailey Wednesday, and it goes against the NCAA’s rule that multi-time transfers are required to out for a full season.
Although the restraining order is not a final decision, the upcoming 14 day period in which the restraining order will be active will have massive implications on the future of college football. Transfers that are being forced to sit out for a season will now have the opportunity become immediately eligible as a result of the Northern District of West Virginia ruling.

If I am remembering correctly, I am thinking that the restraining order was issued because there were different rules for different situations. Some get immediate playing time while others have to sit out a year. If all have to sit out a year, then all players have the same rules.

Just simply need a separate football league for Men’s football. Separate from tile 9, separate from everything. Pay the players according to the NFL collective bargaining agreement. Let the athletic departments fund non-revenue sports equally among men’s and women’s without stealing from football players who earn their money.

Assuming we get Mafah for another year we would have five backs on scholarship so why would we pursue another RB? Especially one who is likely looking for a bag?

It could also just be a power move to get a bigger deal from Ole Miss. Maybe he saw how much they’ve been throwing around this portal season and wants a bigger cut. Either way, it seems to be 100% NIL related.
I hate this crap.

If this story was told to a 6 grade class of 50 students that were 17 year old, and if they were all 17 years olds you would know they had to be dumb as dirt, but, they would come to the very same conclusion, NIL tampering!!!

You do know Mafah had 13 TDs and averaged more yards per carry than Judkins in 2023?
Heard he was looking at around $500K NIL and wants double that.

I don’t have a problem with it. It stinks for the program, but they are making millions off of the players so it’s the price they pay.
