I am going to the Syracuse game. It is my first trip there. Does anyone know if there is a Clemson tailgate party anywhere? The hotel Clemson is using? Thanks for any help.

NYC Clemson Club tailgating is on Facebook
Tailgate Location will be in the "Women's South" Parking Lot, please see this link for a map:
http://carrierdome.com/media/documents/2016/11/Overall_Parking_Map.pdf
Please join the New York City & Tri-State Area Clemson Club as we host a tailgate for any and all Clemson fans who will be attending the Clemson at Syracuse Game on October 13th.
The club will be providing tailgate food items (such as burgers, hot dogs, sausages, snacks), as well as some non-alcoholic beverages. (Please BYOB) We will also have some tailgate games such as corn hole.

Is General Parking a nightmare?

My wife and I are making the trek from South Central PA to see our Tigers. It's our first trip to the Dome. We are looking forward to your tailgate. Do you know anything about general parking? From what I researched, it doesn't look fan friendly. Can you advise?

Because the Dome is in the middle of campus, there isn't one huge lot outside the stadium. Its lots of little parking lots around campus. Its not ideal, but its not a nightmare. You can park at Manley or skytop and shuttle in. OR go to the FINE LOT and join the syracusefan.com tailgate party. We love hosing opposing fans. IT's $10 for food and drink.

Syracuse Downtown
If you've never been to Syracuse, the #1 spot for lunch or dinner is Dinosaur BBQ. It sounds a little weird ordering southern BBQ in upstate NY but its got a great scene with good food.
8 minute walk from Dino is the Armory Square area. This is the go-to spot for restaurants, shops, and bars. Keep in mind that we now have Uber and Lyft. Finally!
In Armory Square, if you want a little more upscale for dinner, I recommend The York http://yorkcny.com/
Other great restaurants in Armory include Pastabilities for Italian http://www.pastabilities.com/ and Lemongrass for amazing Thai cuisine http://www.lemongrasscny.com/
There are some great beer bars in Armory Square as well. Blue Tusk http://www.bluetusk.com/ and Empire Brewery https://empirebrew.com/ are right across the street from each other and both have tons of beers. For cocktails and whisky, Al's wine and whiskey http://www.alswineandwhiskey.com/ has a huge selection. There is also a fantastic Irish Pub Kitty Hoynes http://kittyhoynes.com/ in Armory square as well.
Campus
Marshall St. is the area with all the restaurants and bars on campus. The go-to places on gameday are Faegan's http://www.faeganspub.com/ (very crowded but great scene) and the Varsity.
Tailgating
If you want to start Friday downtown, there is a block party at Shaughnessy's https://www.shaughnessyspub.com/ at the new Hotel Syracuse Marriott downtown. I believe they have a $5 shuttle to the game. If you'd rather get near the dome, you can either hang out at the bars on Marshall street or choose a random pay lot (about $15) and set up your own little tailgate.
