This FSU rating will lead to some nasty things.

If the only reason to leave FSU out is because their QB is hurt, will that put an extra target on quality QBs so that their team can be kept out of the playoffs. I know that is a mean spirited thing to say, but after the way things turned out today?

It certainly incentivizes injuring important players to keep them out...

This is much ado about nothing.

Oh, I think it's much ado about something. The violence will only be ramped up.

The same exact thought occurred to me. Will coaches begin instructing their defense to not only tackle but bomb the shist out of opposing players? Hate to say these words but I will not be surprised if we see more serious injuries in the coming years.

No, coaches will not enact a new defensive strategy of "tackle their QB hard so the playoff committee won't vote them into the top 4."

So which of the four playoff teams would have been positioned this year to hurt, for example, FSU's QB, with the intention of keeping FSU out of the playoffs? Travis was injured playing North Alabama. Think the mighty North Alabama football Lions might have been thinking about a playoff spot?

You could have Auburn do you the favor on Bama's QB last weekend.

Yeh……….Coaches would never try to take advantage of a possible season changing occurrence. What’s next? Someone gonna suggest a Coach might be involved in a sex scandal or cheat with eligibility or cheat by filming opponents signs or cheat at recruiting? That could never happen. I don’t even know why Coaches have to bother with this whole Earth and living thing. Coaches should just be born straight into heaven.

The NIL will not turn into money laundering to pay players either.

You can’t make me believe that an undefeated Georgia or Bama would get snubbed just because their star qb was hurt. This was just an excuse to get an SEC team in the playoffs, nothing more

They probably have quality backups.

I mean it wasn’t pretty, but they continued to win and win a championship without Travis. Even took down an SEC team without him.

Alabama didn't have a quality starting QB this year, much less a backup. Ga's starter was pedestrian at best. Neither team's backup looks that great, so getting their starter knocked out would be bad for them.

Look for Connor Stallions to run a Tonya Harding / Jeff Gilooly service to injure the QBs of playoff contenders.

And I see a team that finds a way to win, after losing their QB, to be commended. Your entire season should be taken into account.
