Not looking really good. We have a 3 star signed. We’ve offered 2 4 stars. Any word on where we stand with them?

Hoping this has something to do with us just signing two high four/five stars in Wescoe and Moore. Since we’re not shelling out big bucks for kids just to come, some recruits might see their presence as a roadblock to playing time and thus a roadblock to them getting paid.

WR is a position that can never have too much talent.

Yeah I can't buy the argument that signing a couple of highly rated guys hurts WR recruiting for 2025. Look at our DL and DBs. Doesn't stop elite talent from signing each year. Look at OSU WR recruiting. Look at UGA RB recruiting. Either you are an elite recruiter ie Eason or you're not.

According to Morgan Thomas's roster, we do not lose any WRs to graduation after the 2024 season with 10 WRs on scholarship. So taking 1 or two would based on expected portal attrition would seem reasonable.

Can we just get rid of Grisham now or do we have to deal with another year of excuses and watch him ruin yet another class of WRs?

Apparently, for him, the glass is not half full, it's completely empty.

The one 3 * was a very early offer and they really like him. I’m okey with us signing 3* when the coaches identify something they like early. Don’t like when we offer low 3* at the end just to fill a class when they can go into the portal so sign a proven player.
Also we just signed two highly rated players. We’ve never been Bama or GA and go stack talent on talent except for DT.

Don’t play this game. I can go back and pull a ton of late offers just to fill the roster that did exactly what his ratings said. Reality is it’s a gamble to take low rated kids late and hope they pan out. Better to take proven products to fill holes left by kids who leave early.

We're not scheduled to lose anyone at WR. This lessens the need to add a WR and their interest in you.

Clemson is stacked with receivers and tight ends right now, and only 1 football . We’re probably looking at 2026 receivers

0 seniors. 10 on scholarship. 1 commit.
Makes sense to me. The commit that we have is a burner. The kid can fly.

You get a commitment from the top rated QB in the class who can actually play, as in DW4 or TL16, and the top rated WR's show up on your doorstep. They know who they want throwing to them. For example, when we got commitment from top rated knuckleballer and medicine ball tosser a few years back, the WR recruits wanted no part of that and scattered like roaches when the light came on. These kids and their advisors, for the most part, are not stupid and have their own self interest at heart. They are not about to hook up with a program where they know there will be QB issues for the next 3 years.

I noticed we are recruiting smaller receivers than in the past, I am not sure if this is a Garrett Riley thing, but not a single one of these guys is over 6'1"
