We need to talk about beets.

I like vegetables, they’re probably 75% of my diet. And I want to like beets…but they just suck. I mean, they are vile, little purpleturds of nastiness. The texture is like a firm piece of excrement from a farm animal and tastes, probably, about the same. What gives? I’ve cooked them a myriad of ways and they all suck…and I’m a good cook.
Any of you beeteating meatbeaters have anything to say?

Which I believe are in the same family. You can roast them in the oven at 375; both like cut up potatoes w garlic, onion powder, chili powder, paprika etc. Very good! But beets, no thanks

what your body needs as far as vitamins and minerals….you don’t have to choke down some root.
Especially the minerals right now, they make them so your body can synthesize them easily.
I take a once a month Vitamin D and Magnesium and it has changed my mood, my workout stamina, recovery time, blood pressure. Just those two.
It’s cool if you can find the right mix for you. And don’t get me started on testosterone replacement therapy. I can sit here all day and tell you how much better I feel and I wasn’t even on the low spectrum. I just did it to try it and now I can’t imagine never doing it. Aches and pains are gone. Like gone gone. Hangovers, nope. Recovery, insane fast.
I could go on and on.

I have already asked about some prophylactic meds/supplements and he be like “naw dawg, your numbers aren’t bad enough.” Then APM be like, dayum #####, how bad they gots to be?
Anyhow, if he doesn’t play well this year I may change docs. He took over for our good doc who retired.
