I agree, that's a guy you expect to get on base more times than not. I played ball til I was 22 in semi pro and slaton isn't a lead off. Heck he isn't even worthy of being in the lineup

Leadoff or otherwise, you can't put a .180 hitter who's 0-4 on the night in that situation. But, it was a lefy-lefty matchup, so I guess that makes it make sense. To someone. Somewhere. Maybe.
