Trump:

"You know, I called Tim Scott, and I told him you’re a much better candidate for me than you are for yourself.

When I watched Tim, he was fine, he was good, but he was very low-key…I watched him in the last week standing up for me, fighting for me. And I said: you are a much better person for me than you are for yourself.

He’s been a real tiger. He’s been incredible."

trump loves having his behind kissed. Remember when Pence uesed to stand behind him and nod his head in apporval at everything he said, and never made a peep. That is what trump wants, a toady who will do everything he asks, or be hanged.

He gives you a minority Trump card (so many jokes there) to put down claims of racism. He's eating out of Haley's lunch coming from SC. And endorsing Trump is the most scandalous thing he's ever done (aside from getting engaged to a white woman, which will enflame the senses of some folks on here).

It's really a homerun pick. And, honestly, not that it would get me to vote Trump over Biden, but it certainly is some solace that when Trump goes to prison or dies from cardiac arrest, Scott is next in line.

In the Senate keeping his head down and staying out of the spotlight, but I guess you can never assume the prevailing instincts of opportunism in every professional politician.

office on some justice reform issues, and says Scott is one of the few good ones on the Hill. Humble and (at the time) averse to the spotlight; just wants to get the job done. His endorsement of Trump is rightfully deserving of boos, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed he won't let it compromise his integrity beyond the surface, and that if he's ever needed, he'll do as Pence did. Not a bad idea to at least have one adult in the room around Trump, though we've seen they don't usually last.

Salient quote from Tim Scott’s statement Jan 2021:

“I am, and will forever be, open, interested, and desirous to see any new and credible evidence. Our Constitution is a magnificent document – and this is coming from a man who was not even fully counted as a man in the original version. It has stood the test of World Wars, a Civil War, the Great Depression, and presidential assassinations. The Constitution allows for the confrontation of witnesses, the cross-examination of evidence, the peaceful transfer of power, and the role Congress plays in federal elections. And it is the document I have sworn allegiance to and still do.”

Now, for the salient sentence in that quote:

“I am, and will forever be, open, interested, and desirous to see any new and credible evidence.”

(*). Guess what? Credible evidence of our very own government instigating (Ray Epps), entrapping (Cap City security personnel opening Capitol Bldg doors and escorting J6 protesters into the Capitol Bldg and guiding them through the lanyrinth to find the congressional chambers), perjuring themselves via false testimony in order to contrive convictions on J6 protesters (refer to the perjured testimonies of Cap City officers Harry Dunn and David Lazarus), and staging bomb threats to create false optics of violent intent to hang on the J6 protesters (FBI pipe bomb fraud) is widely known now.

It is only the willfully blind and TDS propagandists who refuse to publicly acknowledge the government’s role in fomenting that small minority of J6 protesters that became violent.

No one is fooled any longer by dissembled accounts from leftists of J6 protesters.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.
