but I like a lot of what he has to say. I'm not a fan of how he makes every game "personal", but that's just me.
I do like how he came out to defend the DB from Colorado St who was getting death threats. He couldve blown the situation up, but instead did the right thing.

And that is Deion's whole game. I don't really mind it considering he backs it up and he seems like he's building his program the right way even though it might not sound like it from the things he says/does.
Personally I've been a fan of Deion about my whole life. I remember all the way back in the day playing football when I was like 8 and wearing the bandanna like Deion used to wear. He was a superstar even back then and not much has changed really.

not only was bragging and running your mouth an undesirable and unacceptable trait, it was the sign of an insecure, lower class person who had no manners. Being able to back it up didn't make it okay; in fact, that made it even more important to be humble. I don't care how much "good" he does, or how often he invokes the Lord, it doesn't make the loudmouth bragging and attention seeking any more acceptable.

I understand he's a cocky guy, but the man is rooted in Christianity, he speaks on God and Christian values to the masses every chance he gets, and I understand a lot of yall don't like the portal but, that's college football now, arz state had 30, smu had 29...that's the Era of the game we are in...deions players love him...he's assistants love him....Find me one person that's ever played for or coached under deion that has a bad word to say about the man....
Deion can't help the media oversaturated him and that ppl are interested....
I support prime...and I'll pull for him over the likes of Lincoln Riley and chip Kelly any day

Clemson has been the biggest disappointment in 2023 college football to date -- Colorado the most improved. That explains a lot of the hate. But hopefully all that changes Saturday.

I don't hate PRIME. I like him as a person, and I love most of what he puts out as a coach and motivational speaker. He has done an incredible job turning around every program he has been a part of. Great in the NFL, great with our Atlanta Braves, and he has continued that at Jackson State and now Colorado.
My issue is with what his Colorado-PROTAL experiment represents for the future of College Football. The acceleration of the professionalization of college football has begun and amateurism is dying out at an ever-increasing rate. The erosion of this great sport is a direct result of a lack of regulation for NIL and zero waiting time for PROTAL-jumpers.
Bottom Line: I have a strong disdain for what the Colo-PROTAL Prime Buffaloes mean for the future of College Football. Amateurism is highly endangered and on the way to extinction.

I don’t hate Deion. I agree with some of the things he says and does, but there are other things that he does and says that I think are wrong arrogant and self serving.
Deion was banging the drum for HBCU’s for 3 years and convinced quite a few star players that Jackson State was the place to be…..until it didn’t serve his purpose any longer.
He convinced many that HBCU’s were a big enough stage for their talents…..but not big enough for his talent as a player
He convinced his players and fans that he was SWAC…… until a bigger name came calling
You can’t blame someone for working hard to achieve their goals in life, but when Deion says his goal is to better these young men, these institutions and these leagues I’m a little skeptical. That may very well happen, but I suspect the MAIN goal for Deion has been and will continue to be the advancement and glorification of none other than DEION. I prefer my hero’s to be confident and humble over being arrogant and egotistical.

He's already gotten Colorado 3 times as many wins as he did all last season.
He's got a much better team.
He admits they're not where he wants them to be.
He's generated tons of interest and money for their program.
He was honest with the players that he inherited.
He's done great adapting to and setting the time for the new normal.
The Buffs play their hearts out for the entire game.
The had a terrific comeback against their in-state rival.
He's open about his Christian faith.
He takes responsibility.
He has instilled a strong work ethic that the previous Colorado team sadly lacked.
It's different than the old days and the old ways, but those are dead and buried with him it without him.
The Buffs will lose some games, and he'll handle that, too.
Colorado will be a force in the Big 12 + however many next year.
Prime understands that any publicity for Colorado is good publicity right now. Love him or hate him, you're talking about him.

Not necessarily hate, just a little bored with it. I noticed you used the pronouns "he" and "him" a lot. And in your final sentence, you summed it up. It's about him. It's always been about him. About what HE can do. Take responsibility? Please. It was always what he did on the field. As if nobody else was out there blocking or tackling. Responsibility? Colorado was lucky to get the win verses one of THE WORST college programs (ranked 106 out of 133) and yet you still get the "I told y'all" reaction. This isn't about Colorado. The man couldn't care less about Colorado. but "interest and money" generated? Well, that's why Colorado loves him. Work ethic? Not privy to Colorado's practices so I can't really speak to that. But the current philosophy is do your job or I'll go out and find someone that will. I think the jury is still out on whether Colorado will be a "force" anywhere. And if as you say that going out and rounding up as many transfer as you can and completely overturn your roaster is the new norm in college football, they lost me as a fan.

I'm typically indifferent to flashes in the pan. I mean, I dallied in disco a bit but other than that I ignore temporary popular trends. I never rolled up my cigarettes in the sleeve of my white Tee shirt, never let my pants sag in the back or grow an afro or shaved my head.
I mean, I cuffed my jeans yesterday because they are boot cut and seem to have gotten a little longer when I lost 20 lbs over the summer and I wore a white tee because it was a hot day and white is cool.
