compared to TWENTY ONE for GT? Home Cooking much? Luckily for us, we were hot shooting, and they were abysmally cold, to the point that not even the zebras could make it a competitive game. But, those numbers say they sure did try.
I cannot tell you how nice it feels to be on the WINNING end of one of these hot shooting nights for a change. And, other than Schieff nearly having a career high, we didn't really have any one individual on fire like happens often against us. It truly was a TEAM win. One that should help us a great deal in the aborted NET rankings.

Anyone remember Lennie Wirtz? I used to always say he would come out several minutes before tipoff just to scout out where the TV cameras were.

Pretty sure he was there the night Rick Barnes was shown that dean and the the acc would not allow him to coach in the conference by fouling out the Tigers down to four players in chappy hill.

I thought the aforementioned Mr. Valentine was the worst of the worst ACC officials but he has recently been overtaken by some dude who arches his eyebrows like Nancy Pelosi and hits the gym daily, so he looks like he belongs on WWF. The ego on this guy has to be some kinda world record and I would bet his house is wall-to-wall mirrors. I don't know his name yet but have watched him take over & butcher about 4 games this year. He has overtaken TV IMHO.

I did notice that, too. However, of the 58 shots taken, 29 were from outside the arc. (note: I am going from my memory of looking at the box score after the game last night and have slept, so my numbers may be off by 1 or 2….).
While Tech got to the line more often, after seeing them torch us in 3’s at Littlejohn (not to mention we went about 3 for 18 in that department), I preferred them attacking the basket as opposed to George and their other long range shooters getting hot from the arc. As I recall, they shot pretty poorly overall, at about only 30%.
Really enjoyed seeing our guys play to their potential! Even though there were still a couple small stretches where we struggled offensively - and PJ was under his scoring average. Glad to see the other guys pick him up!
GO TIGERS!!!

Team was hoisting up 3 pointers from the outset, tone was set for no low post play and the refs always watch the ebb/flow of game which is why very few FT's for Clemson.
I watched the game, yes they missed some calls but overall GT was much more aggressive at attacking which always yields itself to being fouled.

Fouls were light for both teams.
Most of the free throws were from shooting fouls.
We were up big at the end so they weren't fouling to try to come back.
Take the win...

Nothing to do with the calls. If you had watched the game you would have seen we took jump shots all night.
