I hope y’all know Tajh Boyd will be Streeter’s replacement. The OC job will be given to Richardson. If you think Dabo is going to bring in an outsider, you’re wrong.

This is what worries me. I’m not sure Dabo can get anyone from the outside now. Must people that are good at their trade want a job not to have to join a cult.

He can easily get someone from the outside. Clemson is still a major job. If you’re a coordinator at Clemson, you’re close to getting a good job.
Chad got SMU Jeff got USF BV got OU Tony got UVA
It’s not about being about to attract outside candidates. Dabo simply believes that he already has replacements on his staff.

True. But, two off that list have failed miserably and the other two are struggling as well and if you think that doesn’t hurt Dabo’s coaching tree you are sadly mistaken.

I really hope you’re right. We deserve to have Dabo’s kids as coaches. In fact, Will should take over after his dad retires.
That’s probably what the pumpers want. A never ending Swinney dynasty.

if that’s the case. You can’t just surround yourself with yes men, you have to have guys who challenge your line of thought.

This is a great way to run off Dabo

I also think Streeter should go, but it's 100% not going to happen unless things get really bad.
Dabo has been crystal clear about his approach. He prefers to promote from within, and he #### sure isn't going to fire a coach that won 11 games and the ACC in his first year as OC.
In today's media landscape, you have seen these remarks get asked directly to Dabo. He has already expressed frustration with this and threatened to coach somewhere else.
I 100% agree with the frustration, and it's cool to vent, but to keep calling for his head is going to have a worse outcome than you are wanting.

You shouldn’t be scared about a coach leaving

especially if it’s because he doesn’t like certain questions from the media.
That’s part of the job. I want a coach who can take the heat. Dabo used to be able to, and I still believe he can.
But if that has changed, and he’s going to take his marbles and go home because a reporter asked him something he doesn’t like, then it sounds like it would be an opportunity for both Clemson and Dabo to find better situations for themselves.

Dabo isn’t firing Streeter anytime soon.

And probably not at all. He’s too stubborn and too loyal.
Streeter never should’ve been promoted to offensive coordinator though.

Why?
I didn't like the hire and think that he did an average job, but our offense improved over last year. Now that Streeter is there, he has to be given a chance. If Dabo was to demote/fire Streeter after a year where the offense improved without any major personnel upgrades, what would any new prospective OC think?
We have 2 potentially positive changes that can happen with the OC. For the ones that want a new OC, hope for Jeff Scott to return as WR coach and Co OC. Personally, I think Scott's biggest contribution would be improving the WR room and would love to see him back even just as a WR coach, although I don't think that he would accept just a position coaching job. The other potential change would simply be Streeter taking the off season to self-scout and self-evaluate.
I'm more likely to win the lottery with a ticket that I find on the street than Dabo firing either of the new coordinators, so just give up on that idea.
