My rage with incompetency has already shifted today

from IT sales people calling me that I tell I have no power to sell, approve or even suggest their product for purchase that ask me "will it help if I call back in 2 weeks?", to the woman driving the recycle bin pick up truck.
I forgot to put my recycle bin out for pick up today. My fault completely. I heard the truck go by--I just missed it.
So I hop in my truck, and drive the 500' down the street to stop the truck and ask the driver if she can pick up my recycles because it's packed full and I missed the pick up. Somehow she wants me to take my recycle bin somewhere and meet her on another street, that she doesn't know the name of. She won't turn around or back up or come down the street again; I guess that's impossible. She just keeps telling me its "not her route" and she's never been here before.
So now I have a full recycle bin for 2 more weeks.

It's pretty much a large blue yard ornament until then.
Trash comes tomorrow; maybe I can stuff my trash bin full of the recycles.

recycling bin?
You didn't take it with you in your truck?
Seems more logical to take it in the golf cart or you don't got one of those no more?

I'm not picking up a full roller bin and putting it in the back of my truck.

and at the speed she was going, had I been able to do that, she still would have been out of the neighborhood by then.
When she said to meet her on another street I was thinking "how the eff am I going to do that?"
Golf cart battery is dead..besides, I'm not sure that makes it any easier even if it was running. And I'd have to move my wife's car to get it out of the garage..so again...more time.
There were two "easiest things":
1) Me to not forget the recycles came every other tuesday, and today is that tuesday, or
2) Her to turn around at the end of the street, drive back by my house and pick up my bin. Or stop by my house on the way out of the hood. There are 2 entries/exits in/out of my hood. I live on the only cross street between two of those exits.
One of those easiest things involves going back in time, and that is impossible, AFAIK.
The other involves turning a truck in a 360 degree circle and driving 700'.

Since you're so close to the ocean, drive to a secluded spot on the beach and dump everything in the water. Then leave, knowing that you've kept the good people at the Surfrider Foundation in business for another week.

Eventually, with wind, waves and tides, that will fall apart and dissolve in the salt water.
Except for the clear plastic box tape for the sea turtles to eat.

I burn boxes in it, absolutely. I'm not on a 1/5 acre lot in a cookie cutter

community, we can do things like that. Takes like 5 minutes to burn a whole load. MUCH more efficient than taking it all to the dump. I would need 4 GFL trashcans to dispose of all the boxes we somehow accumulate.

You could just dig a big hole in your property and bury everything. Problem solved.

I put a pretty good sized toaster oven in my regular trashcan this morning.

I kinda wanted to see what would happen, like, would they see it and fish it out for some reason? Crush it? I would have enjoyed the crushing part. I missed it.

I'd put that on the curb. They'll pick it up with this huge front end loader

with hydraulic tongs on it. They'll pick up everything..concrete, old wood from a porch, cut up trees...everything EXCEPT cardboard. If you have a big box from like refrigerator or somethin..NOPE. gotta cut it up into bite size pieces to go in the recycle bin every other week.
IT'S ALL SO RANDOM.

It used to bother me a little, but then I realized that it was just one more thing that I wasn't responsible for, and that wasn't reflected in my pay one way or another. That cured any butt rash I had over it.
Now if I could get sales idiots to stop calling me all the time I'd be golden.
