Ron Desantis seems pretty proud of a state bill prohibiting lab grown meat in Florida.

I preferred Desantis to Trump and probably would have voted for him over Biden. As my cholesterol would suggest, I love meat straight from the source. I’ve tried meat substitutes once maybe twice and didn’t think they were close to perfect alternatives.

As a free market capitalist, why the need for the ban? If innovation could create a healthier, cheaper and same tasting product shouldn’t government allow it to exist?

Maybe people will have to drive across the state line to get them. Like fireworks, lottery tickets, abortions, etc.

I understand that and agree that states should be able to make decisions on each of your examples for themselves.

I just don’t understand why is he going against the free market.

move like banning government-subsidized lab-grown meat or requiring strict labeling of any food product containing insects or lab-grown meat, etc.

Banning stuff is just idiotic.

to scare you and get you on life-long prescriptions that cause other ailments that you'll need more prescriptions for.

Sugar and carbs cause heart disease. AKA the standard American diet.
