I don’t think that anyone can have long term success, while only relying on transfer players. Realistically, you need to be able to mesh transfers to fill holes on your roster but also need hs players too.

Cristobal knows he has to win and win this year. He has gone all in on the portal. The question will be not whether his guys have the athletic ability to compete and win, but does he have the ability to bring all those guys together and get them to love each other and play for each other.

They quadrupled their win total last year in Deion’s first season. He’s clearly doing something right.

Here is the nuanced explanation so the casual fan like yourself can understand.

After a couple of games last season, ESPN hyped Deion to be the next Saban with two Heisman candidates. Folks quickly tired of the hype so they rejoiced when they came down to earth by playing teams with a pulse. Folks don’t hate Deion per se, but they want the hype to be about actual accomplishments. Also, his reliance on pay for play and free agents represents what is wrong with CFB so naturally they don’t want to see success. Finally, comparing 2023 to their putrid 2022 effort is simply trolling on your part as we all know the portal is a quick answer for a one win season but four wins was not the bogey for 2023.
