so with the win over ND that renders the Irish ineligible because they are below .500. The win moves us ahead of Louisville to effectively knock them out with their season now over after losing to GT today.

Right now we are the very last team OUT.

Next 4 out:
UNC-Wilmington

Oregon

BUT we are still in decent shape because the teams right ahead of us still have conference tournaments to play and could get another loss in their formula to hurt them. Like if Pacific were to lose in the west coast tournament to Santa Clara or something.

Things we need to pull for or against...
- SMU to win the AAC and boost their ranking (that's our best win on the year and giving us the most points). Because even if they lost early in the AAC tourney it would not ding them enough for them to fall where we could then jump them thanks to head to head. So pull for them to rise instead.
- Pacific to have a "bad loss" in the west coast tourney and hope Pepperdine who is already in the top 40 to win that league so their won't be a bid steal
- Rice, Oregon and Cal to lose and not pull any upsets. If Oregon or Cal were to pull upsets to end their seasons (Oregon vs AZ State and Cal vs Stanford) it would leapfrog them over us. Rice would jump over us if they upset Memphis in the AAC semis.

There may be some more scenarios and factors that pop up.

Of course we could render all of this entirely mute if we stun #3 Virginia tomorrow morning! <img border=

Crap. Rice wins

Rice loses a heartbreaker to Memphis 4-3

so as of now we are still projected to be the last team in

but a few things need to happen for us in the matches tomorrow:

- Need Memphis who is already ranked high enough for the tournament to beat Charlotte in the AAC championship. Charlotte is ranked #56 and would not get in without winning their league, so need to avoid a bid stealer thhere.

- Need #41 Pepperdine to beat #48 Pacific to keep Pacific from coming back in the mix.

- Need #34 MTSU to beat #53 Liberty in the CUSA final to prevent a bid stealer

- Need #10 Arizona to take care of business and not let #57 Oregon upset them, cause the Ducks would jump up past us with an upset win.

- This is not a need, but would be nice to have #63 Georgia Southern beat #55 Old Dominion in the Sun Belt final because we have a win over Georgia Southern and Rice has a win over ODU, so would be good to get a few more ranking points there.

There is still another week to go after this even though our season is over. Some conferences don't have conference tourneys until next week.
