Of his Life in debilitating Pain from Arthritis a peripheral effects of Surgeries. He had 9 Knee Surgeries while Playing. In those days, Knee Surgery was extremely invasive. Arthroscopic Surgery had not been invented yet! RIP!

I remember a documentary on him years ago... dude could barely get out of bed do to arthritis.
