We need out of the ACC as fast we can. They conceded secondary status
to the BIG and SEC. They agreed to less money then either in the
new playoff configuration. The ACC hates Clemson anyway. And I for one
hate the ACC. Cheating umps and refs, with an anti Clemson bias.

I would prefer the SEC but I’d love either conference. For the Big 10 I’ve seen games at Penn State, Michigan, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue, Washington, Illinois, Maryland, Indiana, USC, Nebraska, and Ohio State. I greatly enjoyed all of them! My biggest fear is that we would end up like the current cornhusker program after some initial success.

The NIL factor is going to hurt us. In football, I think we'd likely settle down into the same tier as Penn State. I don't think we can ever outspend Ohio State and Michigan in today's game. But I think our Southern geography (as well as the fact that the Big Ten has a much better media deal than the SEC) would help us still recruit and play Southern style football, which is a big advantage over teams like Minnesota and Iowa.
Basketball, we'd do about the same as where we're at.
Other sports, who cares?

As a Buckeye fan, I am hoping and praying Clemson and FSU join the B1G. It’s imperative to move into the SE where the best football is played and the best recruits are. I think Clemson and FSU could enjoy incredible success in the B1G. Of course, it wouldn’t be like y’all’s glory years of 2015-2019, but definitely in the upper 2 to 4 teams. I think you guys will be able to take advantage of your southern locale. It’s gonna be hard in the new B1G. If FSU and Clemson join, you guys are likely to see 3-4 games a year vs PSU, Mich, OSU, FSU, Oregon, and USC. Not to mention surprisingly rough games against Wisconsin, Washington, and even Iowa. I think Nebraska is coming back up. And it wasn’t that long ago that Mich St, for a 5-7 year run, was a toss up game with OSU. I think the B1G is only going to get harder and harder. I think there is a renewed commitment to football among the (unfortunately too many) mid teams.

I don’t think you can ignore the impact of the weather. I have been to games at Penn State, Michigan, MSU, Madison, and Iowa City in the cold and snow and it is a different game. It will take some getting used to. We will have some advantage at home with the late fall heat.

Weather can mitigated with scheduling. Clemson would end up in a pod setup in the SE. Plus, of the 5 football road games, one will likely be on the West Coast. You won’t see Clemson go on the road to Rutgers, Minnesota, and Wisconsin all in the same season.
Clemson would be a top contender in football, but like the SEC get used to 3 or 4 loss seasons since lesser competition games will be gone (ie G5 and FCS). Clemson would be very competitive in baseball and softball. A top program in men’s and women’s soccer. Perhaps top of the conference programs in gymnastics and lacrosse in due time. Basketball programs will be mid pack just like now.

Having lived in Big Ten country the first 30 years of my life, I never understand why any Clemson fan would support a move to the Big Ten…. The weather is brutal the second half of football season. West Lafayette, Iowa City, Champaign-Urbana, East Lansing, etc are not exactly travel destinations. Personally, I’m praying for a move to the SEC.

Yes, I agree, we have history and traditions in the Southern Conference with many of the SEC teams, many racked up wins when Clemson was a small military college but would get decked against us now but don’t tell them that, they can’t handle it.
