Does not matter...we will lose our identity and take on one of folks we've never liked or respected and will become common just like the others! COLLEGE football has prostituted itself through the NCAA to become what we have! We are suing the ACC for mismanagement of a lousy contract and the NCAA has allowed greedy alumnae, gambling interests and a bunch of thugs to destroy the concept of the student athlete! A degree means nothing to many of these minor league football players waiting on the big leagues...later the trial lawyers will come along and sue the schools for no degree! Who has Clemson served...Dabo has done a great job...many on this site don't care!

Here’s a little bit of the future press conference:

Sankey - “We would like to welcome Clemson and Florida State to the SEC. In truth the nation has long believed these two schools were already SEC members given their long history and rivalries with several of our members as well as the natural geographic fit. But sometimes with good news comes bad news and so we would like to thank South Carolina and Vanderbilt for their contributions to the SEC and we wish them well in whatever new conference will have them. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!”

Wouldn't that be perfect?

I can see the BIG and SEC jettisoning the dead weight if the final # of super conference teams is close to 40.

Vandy for sure. South Carolina is borderline...so they should absolutely be praying for a 64 team super conference.

I don’t think Clemson will move forward with them if there is an alternative.

Having said that? I’m not sure it will matter since it appears we will be moving towards some self governing two Conference Super league. The terms SEC and B1G may not end up being relevant.

Both if those current conferences also have aLOT of Dead weight that have been suckling off of their “Producers” ##### as well and they shouldn’t be floating those programs either.

At any rate, the whole thing is a mess and people will continue to vote for its unpopularity with their feet and their ever decreasing lack of disposable income.
